1) How and why have you started to write? Were there something or someone that gave you an impulse?
I wrote stories because I was taking care of an ill relative and needed something else to do. Sometimes it was nice to take a break from real life and step into something made up.
2) Tell me something about your book Arclight.
It started off as three completely different novels that I put together into one.
3) While youre writing, have you discovered a character that you where developing feelings of love for? And was there a character that gave you headaches?
My favorite character is the one you'd call the "villain." Her ideas of right and wrong are so twisted, yet make perfect sense to her. It's kind of fun to write someone like that because she's so different from me.
The hardest one to write is a character who could speak for most of the novel. Because he can't talk, it's hard for him to make people understand what he wants and why he's doing the things he does. It makes people mistrust him because all they see are his actions and he can't explain himself.
4) How have you done your research for this novel?
Most of it's pure fantasy, but the science is based in something real, so there was a bit of research involved to make sure the mechanical things worked the way they were supposed to.
5) Is there a book that inspired your writings?
I read a lot of Stephen King in high school, and a lot of Edgar Allen Poe. I like both writers' ability to maintain a mood, even when you can't see the monster.
6) In the end, would you like say some words to your fans from Romania?
Yes! The very first fan letters I received came from Romania. It was such a surprise because my books haven't sold there, but it was awesome, too. I think I've gotten more letters from Romania than any country other than the US.
